Who I Am and Why I Am Here!

My name is Michelle Oladehin and I have decided to start this blog, because I can’t think of a better way to tell others my story and also find a community that is going through some of the same challenges as I am. More importantly I would love if readers could help me narrow my focus, because the most important thing to me in my personal life is finding my way back to Lagos, Nigeria, Africa to marry the love of my life, my best friend, my everything, my world, and ultimately bring him to America to start our lives together, finally!

My intended audience would follow us on our journey to be together despite the odds stacked against us, right from the start. I am currently engaged to my fiancé, Austin Igbokwe.  Austin is from Lagos, Nigeria, Africa while I am from Fort Worth, Texas, USA. Austin and I have now been together for 4 years, since March 2015. We have already been through some really tough times and we are now headed for even more difficult times.

I am also trying to decide if I want to include by new business venture, my disabilities, my pain management issues, and more into this one blog or if I am tttoo much all over the place.

Austin and I met on

Austin proposed to me on 11 October 2017. We filed for a K1 Fiancé Visa; however, we were denied in 2019. Now, our plan is file for a Spousal Visa once I am able to safely return to Nigeria. I have since been experienciing a great deal of health related complicatoins upon my return to the USA from Nigeria after spending a month in Lagos, Nigeria with Austin and his family.

Upon my return to the USA I was deemed ineligible to return to Nigeria via any flight method. I was hospitalized for a week in Dublin, Ireland because I requested medical assistance during

Well, I started this blog with a particular outcome, but it has not published exactly as I would have liked. My name is Michelle Oladehin and I am engaged to my best friend ever, Austin Igbokwe.

Actually, he and I both had a vision for this blog eventually, but it just has not gone the intended. So I just wanted you know that I still would like to have a career either as s blogger/vlogger documenting the craziness in my life. Personally, I would like to try this written blogger side if possible and just see where it takes me,

Also, I want to introduce my new business. I will provide a link to my Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest pages. I have some content posted that I have actually completed and I have a few more to add. I also have several pictures of items that I can make for demonstration purposes only.

I have recently started a new Die-Cutting business and I can make personalized T-shirts, personalized invitations for Weddings, Birthday Parties, Anniversary Parties, and Dinner Parties, I can also create Cake Toppers for any party; I am working toward some repairs for my sewing machine in hopes to start making Finger Puppet’s for children, and many other items. I am also trying to start making Tumbler’s and Tumbler Sets for all stages of life and they can be individualized or family themed for a reunion or other party. I also have a new line of Tumbler’s coming out with a specialized theme that is close to my heart.

Just to throw it out there, our original intention for our blog was to reach out to many who are in unique relationships, such as my fiancé and I, International Relationships and living the life of a Long Distant Relationship and now dealing with the COVID-19 Delay’s in Immigration and our NEW NORM is to look like, since the outbreak.

By Prince Austin & Princess Michelle

I am an American woman and my now husband is Nigerian (African) from the Igbo Tribe. We were aquaintances in a Christian Facebook group where we followed each other's postings regularly. On April 30, 2016 Austin sent me an official Facebook friend request. For 3 days, I checked his Facebook profile thoroughly (always very important no matter the connection to be established) and I prayed to the Lord for guidance, as I was married to another Nigerian from the Yoruba tribe, but we had been separated for almost a year, since his arrival in the US (never saw that one coming in a million years - story to be added later). I felt the Lord leading me strongly to accept Austin's friend request; therefore, on March 3, 2016 I accepted his friend request; and the rest, as they say, is history. This was the beginning of Our True Love Story and we have been planning our White Wedding for celebration on February 14, 2020 to be held at the Newman's Castle and Newman's Bakery in Bellville, Texas.

This has been a long journey for us and we decided to share our story in an effort help other's in relationships similar to our story, to assist them in learning how to navigate the Immigration Process, learning how to keep their relationship alive, and how to communicate and compromise to make it through this long journey, stronger than when they began. We also want to assist with resources whether you plan to file for a spousal visa or a fiancé visa.

Making these types of relationships work and last is a journey, in and of itself, not to mention the journey of a lifetime and will certainly be an incredible story to share with friends, family, and especially their children, whether you are a blended family or are planning your future with children.

I am a Social Worker by degree with a Bachelor's of Science in Social Work, I love children and I am a true cat lover, owner, and fan; however, I love all animals. I am a devout and faithful Christian with a strong faithful heart, but I am also human. Currently I am on permanent disability and dealing with multiple health issues, but have faith that God will heal me. I own several wonderful cats and I am looking forward to welcoming my wonderful fiancé to the US for the first time and to getting married to my soulmate and love of my life, Austin, within 90 days of his arrival and celebrating our official White Wedding with our family and friends.
